Add a Part Group

Part Groups are used to group similar part types together. Grouping parts comes in useful when filtering data or running reports. Parts can be assigned to a group or a sub group. In this example, the engine and electronics are the top level part groups, or parent part groups:

1. Engine

Gaskets

Spark Plugs

Timing belts

2. Electronics

Immobiliser

Ignition system

Electronic control unit

1. To add a new top level part group, click the Administrator Settings icon on the home screen

2. Click Jobs & Parts

3. Click Part Group

4. Click New Part Group

5. Before adding the new part group, click Show All Part Groups to see what groups already exist

6. Add the new part group name and click Save

7. Repeat the process for all main part group types
