Add a Part Sub Group

The Part Groups functionality in Assetminder is used to associate related parts.  There are both Part Groups and Part Sub-Groups.

The Part Group is the higher level, such as a part group for engine components.  The Part Sub-Groups are the items / components that make up the Parts Group.

NOTE

To complete this procedure will require user access  permission to the Administration function.

PROCEDURE

Access the Administration tools by clicking on the ADMINISTRATION SETTINGS icon on the top right-hand corner of the page (as indicated below).

From the Administration page, click:

1. JOBS AND PARTS, then, on the next page;
2. PART SUB GROUP, then, on the next page;
3. NEW PART SUB GROUP

The following will be shown.

As a PART SUB GROUP belongs to a parent PART GROUP, the first step is to select the PART GROUP of which the new PART SUB GROUP is intended to belong.

To do this:

• Click on the dropdown button on the PART GROUP line.
• This will show the available PART GROUPS already set up in Assetminder.
• Select the intended parent PART GROUP from the list by clicking on it

In the line below, titled, "NAME" enter the name for the new PART SUB GROUP.

Click SAVE to add this PART SUB GROUP to the Assetminder PART GROUP.
