Asset Types are used to group similar assets together. Grouping assets by type becomes useful when running reports or filtering lists in Assetminder. Asset types and asset subtypes have a parent child relationship. Whereas asset types sit at the top of the asset type hierarchy, asset subtypes are considered child types of the parent. For example:
- Low floor bus
- Double decker bus
- School bus
