Add Asset Types

Asset Types are used to group similar assets. Grouping assets by type assists reports and analysis, as well as offering filtering options for lists.  Examples of Asset Types might include the following.  

• Bus
• HGV
• LGV
• TRAILER 

Note: There is no restriction in Assetminder on the naming or use of Asset Types.  

PROCEDURE

Note: Adding an Asset Type requires the user to access the Administrator settings of Assetminder. 

1. Access the Administrator Settings by clicking on the Tools icon on the home page. 

2. Click on ASSETS icon

3. Click on ASSET TYPES icon.

4. Click on the NEW ASSET TYPE button.

5. Enter the new Asset Type,  e.g. 'TRAILER' or, 'HGV TOW TRUCK.'

6. When the new Asset Type has been entered, click SAVE to and the new asset type will be created and available.
