Add Instructions to a Job Card

Prerequisites before completing this procedure

A job card must exist before instructions can be added

Open the job card by clicking on the job cards icon on the home page, and either entering the job card number (if this is known), or click on the open or pending job cards, locating the job card that you wish to use.

The job card will be shown as below

To add an instruction, click on the “+” symbol on the ‘INSTRUCTIONS SUMMARY’ line as shown in the above image.

This will open a new scrolling page over the existing page as shown below.

The user can free-type instructions by clicking on the “OTHER” text in the top line below “INSTRUCTIONS” or use the instructions matrix to create pre-set text instructions.

Below is a short video example of using the instructions matrix to create an instruction line for the vehicle technician to:

“REPLACE WORN BRAKE PADS BRAKES BRAKING SYSTEM, FRONT LEFT SIDE, FRONT RIGHT SIDE “

As more instructions are added, the Standard Instructions line items will added.  Click the Search icon to see the list and verify your work.

Click SAVE and EXIT when done.
